Psychic Attack Costs Political Election?

ROMANIA—The recent Romanian Presidential Election was extremely close, but according to accusations made by the loosing party, the reason for the loss was because the opponents launched as psychic attack against their candidate. Most of us would laugh at this type of a claim, but in Romania it’s being taken very seriously.

Remember that Romania is a place where occult practices are not thought of as crazy-talk. After all, this is the home of Vlad Dracul and all the vampire legends that go with it. And this has made people wonder… could psychic attack be an actual possibility. It might interest you to know that the idea of psychic attack against candidates is not entirely out of the possibility spectrum.

During the Cold War, Russian as well as American military researchers were experimenting with the idea that someone with powerful psychic abilities could affect another individual, perhaps even kill them. Some of the programs in this research are show in the book and the movie “The Men Who Stare At Goats.”

So the question now becomes, was this vote loss by just bad campaign work, or was there another cause? Any investigation would be nearly impossible to conduct, but that doesn’t mean that the accusations are just going away. Local newspapers and citizens are keeping the story alive.

The claims bring up some very interesting questions, as many people who support occult and metaphysical practices believe that energy is a powerful thing, and like anything, can be used for good and bad.

We want to know your thoughts? Can psychic abilities actually be used to “attack” people? Log on to our new Discuss @ SGRA Message Boards and add your comments, and join us later this month for a special PataTalk chat about this subject,.

Pakistani President Kills Goats Daily To Ward Off Evil

PAKISTAN—Maybe the Romanian election claim of psychic attack is spreading fear in other governments. It was recently revealed that Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari sacrifices a goat every day to ward off what he says may be the “evil eye” and ’black magic.”

According to a local newspaper, the goat is killed in what locals refer as “Sadaqah” — meaning “voluntary charity” in Islam whereby one gives out money or the meat of a slaughtered animal to the poor to win Allah’s blessing and stave off misfortune.

A spokesperson for the President said that this has been a custom that he has done for a very long time, it is only now coming out in the papers. The overall view of the public (that would actually talk about it, that is) was that President Zardari probably feels he has a lot to fear. After all, his rise to power was not without its questionable acts.

Again, a story like this gets laughs for most of us reading it, but that’s not the case with other areas of the globe. For example, a commercial airliner in Africa performs a ritual sacrifice twice a year in order to ask for protection for their planes from the Gods. In other areas of the Middle East, sacrifices are common place to ask for everything from love, to wealth, to more. There are even people you can contact who offer to do sacrifices in your favor.

What Is The “Wolf Moon?”

Even if you don’t believe in werewolves, tonight’s “Wolf Moon” may awaken some supernatural feelings inside of you and those around you. The “Wolf Moon” is the full moon of the year that is the largest and brightest in the sky, and it just so happens to be the first one of the New Year too. If you have a telescope, you’re in for some wonderful viewing, but even if you don’t it will still be a sight to see. Don’t miss checking it out, it’s worth the need to bundle up to go outside.

The name “Wolf Moon” comes from the Native Americans, but scientifically this is the day of the year when the moon is closest to our planet. According to one astronomy website, “The moon is, on average, 238,855 miles (384,400 km) from Earth. The moon’s orbit around Earth – which causes it to go through all its phases once every 29.5 days – is not a perfect circle, but rather an ellipse. One side of the orbit is 31,070 miles (50,000 km) closer than the other.”

For any of those out there who say that any claims of weirdness related to full moons is just hogwash, you might be interested to know that there’s more to those claims. In fact, statistics around the world prove that on nights of full moons people sure do act strangely. Car accidents jump, visits to emergency rooms go up, and some people even do seem to act differently. Does that mean there will be transformations into wolfmen? Well, that we’re not sure of, but I sure do have this strange twitching in my paw – i mean, hand – that I’m not sure what it is.

PSI Testing At The Psychic Fairs!!!

The PHD Psychic Fairs are a great place for us to present the public with the latest information about the research that we conduct. At many fairs, we present short talks about the hot paranormal topics that are currently being talked about. We also have our information table available for anyone who has questions or is looking for more details on paranormal activity and Parapsychology research. And now, thanks to some new software and some new help, we’re able to bring another interesting aspect to the fairs… PSI Testing!!!

Guests at the fairs can now not only learn about the Parapsychology work that our group does, but they can have a chance to get involved in a bit of a psychic experiment themselves. As people are waiting for readings, they can sit down at one of two computers we have set up, which are running special Parapsychology software programs. One utilizes a standard Zener Card PSI Testing program, and the other uses brainwaves in a testing of PK ability. Are you psychic? We believe everyone is psychic to a point, and these programs let you test your own ability. Best of all, you can take a copy of the program home, and get instructions on working with your intuition to develop it better! Then, test yourself again, and watch yourself get better.

Be sure to drop by a fair and check us out. Visit our Events Calendar at http://www.sgra.org/events/ for complete details!

Psychic Attack Cause Of Romanian Election Loss?

If McCain had claimed he lost the election because of a psychic attack by Obama he would have been laughed at by everyone. However, such a claim may be met with some more serious consideration in other parts of the world. Such is the case with the recent Presidential elections in Romania where the leading candidate narrowly lost and claimed the reason was that his opponent used psychic attack on him.

Romania, which is home to long-standing traditions of occult practices, and of course is home to Dracula, is a place where these claims are taken very seriously. Even so, like many other places, the claim was first mocked… but then people began to wonder. Could psychic attack really cause elections? Would that technically be election tampering? It brings up some very interesting questions, as many people who support occult and metaphysical practices believe that energy is a powerful thing, and like anything, can be used for good and bad.

So… just bad luck or bad campaigning, or is it possibly something more? Be sure to check out our expanded coverage in the February newsletter, and add your thoughts on our Discuss @ SGRA Message Boards by visiting www.sgra.org/discuss/
