| JFK Assassination Documents Questioned |
| |
This week Dallas County District Attorney Craig Watkins revealed documents that have been locked away in a safe on the 10th floor of the DA's office since the Kennedy Assassination in 1963. According to Watkins, the documents haven't quite been a "secret," as every DA has known about them, but he feels it's time they be released to the public. The documents appear to be items that are part of a movie proposal written by former Dallas County D.A. Henry Wade, who was the prosecutor during the trial of Jack Ruby. For those who don't remember the details, Ruby was the Dallas club owner who shot and killed Oswald in the parking garage of the Dallas Police Station. According to conspiracy theorists, Ruby had much more to do with the assassination that simply killing Oswald, and many have claimed that he was actually Oswald's partner in the assassination. Also reportedly found inside the safe were two sets of brass knuckles and a pistol holster. Watkins believes that the holster was that which held the gun Jack Ruby used to kill Oswald, but he wasn't sure. Efforts are currently underway to catalog the items of the safe, and Watkins hopes to get them onto public display as soon as possible.

| Area 51 Feature in February Dispatch |
| |
It would be hard to find someone today who hasn't heard of the Area 51 facility deep in the Nevada desert. And yet, after nearly 20 years of being in the spotlight, there are few facts actually known about this mysterious base. Despite countless photographs and videos, the government only recently acknowledged that is a base located there. What we do know is that Area 51 was the birthplace of stealth technology. It was home to the F117, SR71, and U2 aircraft. Since each one of those aircraft has come "out of the black" and is now public knowledge, one can only imagine what other technologies and aircraft are being developed at Area 51. We also know that, despite reports to the contrary, Area 51 has not closed down or even slowed down. In fact, new buildings, and a massive new hangar are under construction there. So what else do we know about this mysterious base in the middle of no where? Check out the special feature in our February issue of The Dispatch to find out!

| In-Depth EVP Class Planned for Spring |
| |
Our team is currently developing an in-depth class on Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP) which will be presented this spring. The course will cover far more than our EVP Workshops (often held at the psychic fairs) is able to. There will be two parts to the new class, an instructional portion followed by a hands-on trial portion. During the instructional part of the class our Staff will discuss the history, theories, and methods behind EVP. We will also share some results, explain the equipment that is used, and demonstrate how it is done. The second part of the course will be a hands-on opportunity to try EVP for yourself. Again, our Staff will show you how to conduct EVP during an investigation, or on your own, and also share with you how to review and understand your results. The class will take place at our new Research Center in Bridgeport, however dates are not yet available. We are aiming for early April or May. As with our other courses, there will be a registration fee and a class fee (to be determined) that covers the materials provided. Member benefits, including your "bring a friend" option and your discount registration option will apply for these classes, so stay tuned for your early-registration information. We look forward to brining this new class to you!

| Domestic Survillance A Hot Topic |
| |
Recently there has been a lot of talk concerning Domestic Surveillance, and the increased authorities of the US Intelligence Agencies (primarily the NSA and FBI) to conduct wiretapping of American's phone lines without needing to first obtain a warrant. These warrantless wiretaps are considered by many to go against the Constitution and several other safety checks that have been set in place over the years preventing the government from spying on its citizens. Still, the argument is that in this time, when terrorists are known to be operating within our country, the need to broadly conduct eavesdropping missions outweighs the concern of civil liberties. No matter what, it's a hard thing to balance, but a look through history reveals that it's not something which hasn't be done before. The National Security Agency has conducted "
Project ECHELON," a program aimed at collecting electronic information from Americans, since at least the 1980s. They've done so over and beyond any restrictions set in place. Check out the February issue of "The Dispatch" where SGRA's Government Expert, Jon Nowinski, will discuss the issues surrounding Domestic Surveillance. You can also post your comments in our Message Board at: Government Agencies Gone Too Far? |

| Agencies Turn To Online Information Sharing |
| |
Most of us online regularly are familiar with the WWW site "Wikipedia," a virtual database of information that is built by viewers and contains details on just about anything you can think up. In efforts to promote better communication between agencies and departments, the government has taken a lesson from the success of the Wiki program to create its own version. Through the federal version of the database, agencies can share information, ideas, and other details in a more open setting. In just a matter of the first 10 days the database had over 13,496 entries! The Intelligence Community (CIA, NSA, FBI, etc.) has also launched its own version called "Intellipedia." Which boasts 250,000 pages, that are edited or updated about 5,000 times a day. More on this coming soon!
